Competitions
The Value Chain Consultants Limited runs competitions on behalf of member institutions. Anybody may read the listing, and no account is needed to do so. Bidding is restricted to suppliers who have registered and been approved, and approval takes a few working days, so it is worth starting well before a deadline rather than on the day.
These are illustrative examples, not open competitions
Every listing on this page is a worked example, published to show what a ValueHive competition looks like before the first real one opens. The reference numbers, closing dates, values and requirements are invented. Nothing here is a live solicitation, no bid can be submitted against any of it, and no award will follow from it. Real competitions will appear here in their own right, and this notice will go when they do.
Example competitions
Three kinds of arrangement are competed here, and the badge on each listing says which one it is.
- Framework agreement
- A 12-month agreement. Institutions order against the agreed price list whenever they choose, with no minimum volume and no obligation to order at all.
- Bulk purchase event
- One pooled purchase. Institutions pledge quantities while the window is open, the combined volume is competed once, and each institution confirms its own share before any order is placed.
- One-off purchase
- A single award for a single requirement. There is no standing price list afterwards and no draw-down.
